What's the program about?

A unique social leadership and mentoring program to foster 21st century skills and be future changemakers. It provides students with learning opportunities to build skills beyond academic boundaries.

Students will research, brainstorm and present. their opinions on global issues. A great opportunity for students to develop reasoning, critical thinking and social emotional skills alongside enhancing their knowledge/ learning skills.

Global Perspective

To be able to brainstorm and make presentations on global issues. To increase knowledge on current affairs
Self-Esteem

To enhance self worth by identifying personal strengths and working in a non-competitive environment.
Collaboration

To learn how to worksuccessfully in a team and use individual strengths to make maximum impact.
Social-Emotional

To enhance self-awareness and management. To foster empathy and looking at ideas from other's perspectives.
Critical thinking

To develop independent thinking and make logical connections between ideas.
Communication

To develop confidence by making frequent presentations and debates by putting forward their point of views.
Creativity

To advance creative skills and apply design thinking principles to problem solve or represent one's ideas.
Leadership

To learn leadership skills by planning campaigns and organizing social impact events.

Elaborate on a central monthly theme

Communication tools that can be demonstrations, presentations, artwork or creative writing.

Run a social awareness campaign

Students will plan and lead a social awareness campaign in groups both on social media and organizing live events.

YSGI Talks

The year finale is through a presentation/ talk by students on a global cause as endorsed by the United Nations Global Sustainable Goals.
