Rapport Building

Have you ever met someone who instantly establishes harmonious relationships with everybody? Although you might think that its  an innate gift, rapport building is a skill and can be developed. Rapport forms the basis of meaningful, close and harmonious relationships between people.

Rapport is often the foundation for success; both personal and professional. When you have rapport with someone, they trust you and are more open to your ideas, learnings and suggestions. You are better placed to influence and create opportunities together.

Active Listening

Listening is one of the most important skills you can have. Most times we are just hearing and not listening and thus, pay attention to half of the conversation. By honing this skill, you can increase your influence and persuasion ability; you can avoid conflict and misunderstandings and improve your relationships.

Assertive Communication

It is considered an important communication skill. Assertiveness means telling people your needs or ideas clearly and directly. It means not being afraid or shy when you tell people what you want. Communicating assertively means to get your point across firmly and fairly; to say NO to people without hurting other’s feelings.
